Charles Dance Reportedly Joins ‘The Batman – Part II’ Cast

It appears actor Charles Dance is heading towards a role in Matt Reeves’ upcoming sequel, “The Batman – Part II.” With notable actors like Sebastian Stan and Scarlett Johansson already rumored for the second installment of Battinson’s adventures, another significant name is reportedly being considered.

This report, originating from Deadline and yet to be officially confirmed, suggests that Dance is in discussions for the part of Charles Dent. The surname might ring a bell, as Dance is rumored to portray Harvey Dent, the father of the iconic Two-Face. Johansson is also reportedly slated to play Dent’s wife. If these rumors hold true, it would strongly indicate that Two-Face is set to be the primary antagonist in the next chapter of Batman’s saga, seemingly sidelining villains like Mr. Freeze and Killer Croc for now.

Following his captivating portrayal of Tywin Lannister, Charles Dance has frequently taken on paternal roles in various projects. This is a character archetype he embodies exceptionally well, and if cast, he is sure to bring a powerful presence to “The Batman – Part II.” The film is slated for release on October 1, 2027.
