Crimson Desert Confirms 4 Million Copies Sold Worldwide

It’s been nearly two full weeks since Crimson Desert’s release on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, and the game appears to be a resounding success for developer Pearl Abyss.

Following a somewhat challenging initial reception due to certain controversial features and design choices, Crimson Desert has rapidly evolved and changed. Fans now seem very pleased with the game as it stands.

After quickly moving several million units almost immediately, it took a bit longer to reach the three-million-sold mark, and similarly, progressively more time to hit the four-million milestone. However, this achievement has now been confirmed by Pearl Abyss in a social media announcement.

Pearl Abyss stated: “Crimson Desert has sold 4 million copies worldwide. Thank you to all the Greymanes who have been part of this journey with us and for your incredible love and support.”

The current question is whether Crimson Desert can reach five million copies sold within its first month, a goal for which it has approximately two weeks remaining.
