Crimson Desert Horse Drifting: How to Do It (and How Not To!)

In Crimson Desert, your character, Kliff, can pull off slick ground slides by simply pressing the left stick while racing. This mechanic extends to your trusty steed, allowing you to perform impressive—and often hilarious—horse drifts.

However, as a wise person once said, “Mind the Gap!” Always make sure there are no perilous cliffs ahead before attempting a stylish drift.

Beyond drifting, pressing the right stick will deliberately dismount Kliff from his horse (unlike any accidental spills you might have seen!). This intentional dismount can be a strategic move, especially useful for gaining altitude and initiating flights.

What’s your go-to maneuver in the vast open world of Crimson Desert?
