High on Life 2 Delays Nintendo Switch 2 Launch

Following reports of other major titles encountering challenges with performance on the anticipated Nintendo Switch 2, Squanch Games’ recent shooter, High on Life 2, has also announced a delay for its release on the hybrid console.

Originally scheduled for an April 20 launch, the game’s debut on the Nintendo Switch 2 has now been pushed back to July 1. This adjustment, confirmed by Squanch Games via their social media, aims to ensure the game operates as smoothly and efficiently as possible on Nintendo’s new hardware.

The developer emphasized that this “additional effort in production will ultimately allow the studio to better meet not only our high standards for gameplay, but also yours.” This commitment highlights a focus on optimizing performance to deliver a polished experience for players.

Consequently, digital pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 version have been canceled. However, physical pre-orders remain active, with shipping dates now updated to align with the new July release window, rather than the previously announced April schedule.

High on Life 2 has already been available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S since its initial launch in February, providing players on those platforms early access to the title.
