Iran Rejects Temporary Ceasefire, Demands Permanent Peace; Trump Threatens “Taking Out” the Nation

Iran Rejects Temporary Ceasefire, Demands Permanent Peace; Trump Threatens “Taking Out” the Nation

Tehran has rejected a provisional truce offer, instead demanding a definitive resolution to the ongoing conflict involving the United States and Israel.

According to Iranian state media, their response to the Pakistani-mediated proposal outlined several conditions: the lifting of sanctions, guaranteed safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz, and a commitment to regional reconstruction.

Meanwhile, President Trump has adopted an uncompromising stance, warning that Iran could be “taken out” if it fails to comply with a Tuesday deadline. He described potential large-scale strikes targeting critical infrastructure such as power plants and bridges, dismissing humanitarian concerns.

The Strait of Hormuz naturally remains a critical pressure point. Its effective closure following the late February attacks has disrupted global energy markets, leading to soaring oil prices and increased political pressure in Washington.
