There’s a growing consensus that, despite a few initial kinks to iron out, Saturday Night Live UK has proven to be a refreshing success, offering a welcome change from the generally lackluster late-night television landscape in the country. Although viewership figures could still improve, the show has already outperformed established networks, leading Sky to express confidence in its future by extending the first season from six to eight episodes.
The full lineup of hosts and musical artists for the expanded eight-episode season has not yet been entirely confirmed, with only the initial three hosts having been previously revealed. Following Tina Fey’s premiere, Jamie Dornan’s subsequent appearance, and Riz Ahmed taking the stage this weekend, the host for the fourth installment has now been unveiled.
British comedian Jack Whitehall will lead the fourth episode, where he will be joined by Jorja Smith as the musical guest. This particular episode will mark a temporary pause, as SNL UK is scheduled for a brief mid-season break before returning two weeks later on April 25th with an as-yet-unrevealed celebrity host.
