While he’s a master of the action genre, it might be easy to get accustomed to Jason Statham consistently portraying similar characters. However, following his earlier film “Shelter” this year, the British star is set to lead another theatrical action venture titled “Mutiny.” This film centers on a solitary figure who takes on an entire army in a pursuit of retribution.
The plot unfolds as follows: ‘In “Mutiny,” after witnessing his billionaire employer’s murder and being framed for the crime, Cole Reed (Jason Statham) embarks on a solo crusade aboard a cargo ship to avenge his boss’s death. His quest soon uncovers an international conspiracy.’
Fans of slick action and hard-hitting fight sequences will be pleased to know that “Mutiny” delivers precisely that, and more. Statham is back in his element as a gruff, reclusive hero who says little and appears impervious to harm – a classic Statham performance, by all accounts.
The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on August 21st.
