Kylian Mbappé Denies Real Madrid Doctors Examined Wrong Knee

Kylian Mbappé has denied reports suggesting Real Madrid’s medical staff misdiagnosed his knee injury and examined the wrong knee. “The information that they examined the wrong knee is not true,” Mbappé stated during a press conference in Boston, a day before a friendly match between France and Brazil.

These reports, which emerged earlier this week, described a “worse than catastrophic error” that allegedly led to the medical staff’s dismissal in January. The claims suggested Mbappé, feeling his knee worsening since December, consulted a knee specialist in France. This specialist supposedly uncovered severe malpractice by Madrid’s medical team, potentially putting him at risk of further injury.

However, Mbappé has refuted the rumor about Madrid’s doctors examining his wrong knee, though he declined to elaborate further on the matter. He took some responsibility for not speaking clearly about what happened to him:

“The information that they examined the wrong knee is false. I may bear some indirect responsibility, because when you don’t communicate, rumors begin to circulate; that’s part of the game. We have always had very clear communication with the club.”

Mbappé also expressed satisfaction that his team continued to win matches during his absence. “When I got injured in early January, I wasn’t available, and many people thought I was the club’s only option, but that’s not the case.”
