LEGO is tapping into the FIFA World Cup excitement with a new series of LEGO sets dedicated to the world of football. Two sets are already available in stores: one representing the official 2026 World Cup ball, which includes a mini-stadium inside, and another featuring the World Cup trophy. More sets are scheduled for release in May, focusing on football superstars Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, who are potentially set for their ‘last dance’ at the highest level this summer.
New leaks from BootlessBricks on Instagram have unveiled the first images of the Messi and Cristiano LEGO statues. These impressive builds are expected to consist of 850 to 950 pieces and will be priced at $79.99 (likely the same amount in euros).
An official announcement and a clearer look at these sets are anticipated soon. These statues won’t be the only LEGO football offerings in May; four dioramas, priced at $30 each, will also be released. These dioramas will feature Messi, Ronaldo, France’s Kylian Mbappé, and Brazil’s Vini Jr., each containing approximately 490-510 pieces and accompanied by a minifigure.
Finally, a substantial LEGO Art set dedicated to Messi, part of the 18+ collection, is also set to launch in May for $200. Will you be adding any of these new LEGO football sets to your collection before the World Cup kicks off?
