While Code: Veronica was arguably the best horror game on the Dreamcast, a new contender is now in the pipeline, promising to deliver an experience rooted in classic Resident Evil principles.
Philippe Nguyen, producer at PixelHeart and JoshProd, has confirmed that his team has “begun development on an all-new 3D survival horror game” specifically for the Dreamcast. Nguyen describes the upcoming title as featuring “fixed cameras” and “a dark atmosphere,” emphasizing that it will be “a love letter to the classics” of the genre.
While development has “just begun,” meaning it will likely be some time before tangible progress is shared, fans are hopeful for a successful new adventure on one of the greatest gaming consoles of all time.
