Less than a month has passed since the second season of the live-action One Piece series premiered on Netflix, where it once again garnered widespread acclaim and immense success among viewers. The confirmation of a third season is not new; the production team had previously assured fans that the wait would be significantly shorter than the three years separating the first two seasons.
This promise appears to hold true, as Netflix recently announced via Threads that the upcoming season, officially titled “The Battle of Alabasta,” is slated to debut in 2027. While the exact month of release remains undisclosed, the second half of the year seems more probable. This estimation takes into account that season two was released in March 2026, and typically, big-budget streaming series require at least a year for filming, editing, and post-production effects. We would, of course, be delighted to be proven wrong, as an earlier launch would certainly be a welcome surprise.
