After a remarkably long wait and a development process reportedly fraught with challenges and delays, the highly anticipated game Replaced is finally nearing its release. Its launch date is now set for April 14th, coming to PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X, and will also be available day one on Game Pass.
Indicating that the period of extensive delays might truly be behind them, the developers have begun to reveal more specific details about the game, including its technical performance and overall adventure length. According to Director Yura Zhdanovich:
“We don’t impose any side content on players, so it really depends on your play style. I’d say the average could be around 8 hours, and 11 to 12 hours if you’re really looking for optional things.”
Regarding technical performance, the developers aim for a polished experience, targeting 4K resolution at 60 frames per second on Xbox Series X and a solid 1440p at 60 frames per second on Xbox Series S.
Addressing the absence of a PlayStation 5 version, they explained: “When we started developing Replaced and talking to different platform partners, we decided to launch it as an Xbox-first and Game Pass title, as we felt it was the right solution for us. We cannot confirm additional platforms at the moment.”
This phrasing hints that other platform releases might not be entirely off the table for the future, suggesting fans should ‘wait and see’.
