Some even hoped it was Sherry, although that proved to be a rather contentious choice among fans. During the initial announcement of the Requiem DLC, game director Koshi Nakanishi even playfully showed what appeared to be a Resident Evil Requiem-themed dating simulator featuring Leon.
When the director was later interviewed, he was naturally questioned about Leon’s marital status. Nakanishi responded, “The answer will become clear one day, but not right away. What we wanted to convey in the final scene is simple: Leon now has ‘a place to return home,’ and we hope you can imagine the peaceful moments he spends there.
