Nintendo has officially announced that Rhythm Paradise Groove, the highly anticipated exclusive for the Nintendo Switch, will launch on July 2nd. The confirmation came via the Nintendo Today application, swiftly followed by a Twitter announcement that included a short clip showcasing one of the game’s many rhythm-based mini-games, rather than a full trailer.
Known as Rhythm Paradise in Europe and Rhythm Heaven in North America, this beloved series is celebrated for its distinctive, quirky humor, drawing comparisons to WarioWare, but featuring more extensive and intricate rhythm challenges. This upcoming title marks the series’ first new installment since Rhythm Paradise Megamix debuted on the 3DS in 2016, and it could potentially be one of the final first-party Nintendo games released for both the current Switch console and its rumored successor, the Switch 2.
Rhythm Paradise Groove is poised to fill out Nintendo’s busy summer release calendar. It follows the launch of Tomodachi Life next week and Yoshi and the Mysterious Book on May 22nd. The summer period could also see the release of other highly anticipated, albeit rumored, titles such as Fire Emblem Fortune’s Weave, Splatoon Raiders, and a new Star Fox game.
