Ronaldo Nazário Believes Ancelotti Will “Fine-Tune Missing Details” for Brazil’s World Cup Triumph

Football icon Ronaldo Nazário, a two-time World Cup winner with Brazil in 1994 and 2002, firmly believes that head coach Carlo Ancelotti possesses the expertise to turn around the fortunes of the Brazilian national team. The Canarinha has recently faced challenges, even struggling during World Cup qualifiers, and has yet to significantly uplift team morale. However, following a 2-1 friendly defeat to France, Brazil secured a convincing 3-1 victory over Croatia on Tuesday, with goals from Danilo, Thiago, and Martinelli.

“I am sure he will help fine-tune the small details that are currently missing before the World Cup,” Ronaldo stated in an interview published by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF). His comments came after a visit to the team’s training camp in Orlando, ahead of their match against Croatia. In that game, emerging talent Endrick delivered a crucial assist, hinting at his promised future role with the national squad.

Ronaldo, who previously worked with Ancelotti at AC Milan, lauded the current Brazilian squad for its “incredible talent” and praised Ancelotti as a coach of “impressive quality.” He also emphasized that Brazil will “always be favorites” for a World Cup, despite their current lower standing in the global rankings and a noticeable lack of enthusiasm from the local press.
