Samara Weaving Leads Cast in Upcoming Romantic Crime Thriller ‘Carolina Caroline’

Samara Weaving, widely recognized for her standout performances in films like “Ready or Not,” is gearing up for another cinematic return this summer. This time, she takes the lead in a project that ventures into a notably different genre than her previous horror work: the romantic crime thriller titled “Carolina Caroline.”

In “Carolina Caroline,” Weaving portrays Caroline Daniels, a character driven by a strong desire to escape her humble Texas upbringing. Her solution to leaving her small town behind involves a daring venture into a life of crime and deceit, where she schemes and swindles her way to wealth across America.

The official synopsis provides more insight into the film’s narrative: “From acclaimed director Adam Carter Rehmeier comes the romantic crime thriller ‘Carolina Caroline,’ starring Samara Weaving (Ready or Not, Borderline) as Caroline Daniels, whose desire to leave her small Texas town draws her into the orbit of a charismatic grifter (Kyle Gallner). Together, they weave a path of crime and passion across the American Southeast. Also featuring Kyra Sedgwick, the film boasts a diverse country music soundtrack with tracks from artists like Jason Isbell, Chris Stapleton, Loretta Lynn, and over a dozen others.”

Movie enthusiasts can mark their calendars as “Carolina Caroline” is slated for a theatrical release on June 5th. A short teaser trailer has already been released, with a comprehensive full-length trailer expected to debut closer to the premiere date.
