Super Meat Boy 3D: No Cross-Save or Cross-Progression Confirmed

As Super Meat Boy 3D approaches its anticipated launch on March 31st, players are eager to learn key details about the upcoming title. With the platformer set to debut across PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2, a common question has been whether any form of cross-progression or cross-save functionality will be available between these different versions.

We posed this specific inquiry to Dominik Plaßmann, CEO and co-founder of developer Sluggerfly, who provided a clear answer: “It’s not planned at the moment.” This confirms that players will not be able to transfer their game saves or progress across multiple platforms.

Furthermore, in light of the ongoing discussions surrounding artificial intelligence in game development, we also asked Plaßmann about Sluggerfly’s stance on AI. He clarified that the studio has no intentions of incorporating AI-generated assets into their projects.

“We view AI as a tool that can be useful in certain areas, but not as something that should be used in a generalized manner,” Plaßmann explained. “For instance, we would not include AI-generated assets in our games.”
