Unlocking every achievement in a game or securing that coveted platinum trophy is always immensely satisfying. However, some challenges go beyond mere difficulty, becoming practically impossible. Often, this is due to defunct online support or a dwindling player base. Yet, the PlayStation Vita version of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 presented a unique and far more frustrating hurdle.
To earn its platinum trophy, players are required to complete a series of relentless objectives, made even harder by additional factors. While typically such feats can be accomplished with the help of co-operative play, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus on the PS Vita notably lacks this feature. Instead, players are forced to rely on the game’s notoriously poor AI companion.
Consequently, this particular trophy has been widely regarded as impossible to unlock since the game’s release in 2013, with no verifiable proof of anyone ever achieving it. That changed recently, as Japanese player Tqvry successfully unlocked the elusive challenge over the weekend in an incredible feat that reportedly lasted nearly ten hours.
This accomplishment marks one of the most remarkable feats in gaming, especially given the incredibly frustrating conditions under which it was achieved.
