Wyldheart: A Co-op RPG from Former DICE, Embark, and Mojang Developers

Looking for a fresh take on game nights? Wayfinder Studios, a Swedish-based developer, has just introduced its debut project, Wyldheart, a cooperative role-playing game that promises to make gaming with friends more engaging.

Crafted by a team of seasoned developers with previous experience at studios like DICE, Embark Studios, and Mojang, Wyldheart draws heavy inspiration from classic tabletop RPGs. This PC-bound project is currently seeking support on Kickstarter to fund its ongoing development.

Players can look forward to exploring a rustic fantasy world where up to four individuals can team up for various quests and dungeon expeditions. Wyldheart boasts a persistent world feature, allowing other players to seamlessly join campaigns at different times. This means while only four players can be actively involved at any given moment, a broader group can participate in a single overarching campaign.

The game also offers extensive character customization options, a vast world ripe for exploration, and a diverse set of activities. These include crafting elements like cooking, resource gathering, and equipment upgrading. Multiple campaigns are planned, promising around 10 hours of core story content and an additional 15 hours of supplementary gameplay.

As of now, an official release date for Wyldheart has not yet been announced.
