Even as we settle into spring, Microsoft is already generating excitement for its major summer gaming event. Xbox has officially announced that the highly anticipated Xbox Games Showcase 2026 will take place on June 7th at 6:00 PM BST / 7:00 PM CEST.
This event is expected to feature a wealth of significant announcements from both Xbox Games Studios and its various global partners.
Immediately following the main showcase, fans can look forward to a dedicated “Gears of War: E-Day Direct.” This special presentation will confirm that the next installment from The Coalition’s beloved franchise is indeed a prequel, set during the pivotal E-Day. Xbox has indicated that this segment will offer new gameplay elements and detailed insights directly from the game’s development team.
With 2026 marking the 25th anniversary of the original Xbox console’s launch, expectations are particularly high for this year’s conference, especially in light of recent leadership changes within Xbox.
Microsoft has also revealed the return of the Xbox Fan Fest, a special gathering in Los Angeles designed to connect with players and celebrate the brand’s history and iconic titles.
