The NBA postseason is kicking off this week with the play-in tournament running from Tuesday, April 14th to Friday, April 17th, followed by the playoffs starting on Saturday. This year, NBA broadcast rights have expanded, benefiting international viewers. Many games are now included with Amazon Prime Video not just in the United States, but across numerous countries including Mexico, Brazil, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, the UK, and Ireland.
This season, a significant 87 regular-season games were streamed on Prime Video. The exciting news for fans is that this week’s play-in games are exclusive to Prime Video. Here are the matchups you can catch:
- Charlotte Hornets (9) vs. Miami Heat (10): April 15th, 1:30 AM CEST / 00:30 AM BST
- Phoenix Suns (7) vs. Portland Trail Blazers (8): April 15th, 4:00 AM CEST / 3:00 AM BST
- Philadelphia 76ers (7) vs. Orlando Magic (8): April 16th, 1:30 AM CEST / 00:30 AM BST
- Los Angeles Clippers (9) vs. Golden State Warriors (10): April 16th, 4:00 AM CEST / 3:00 AM BST
- Western Conference Finals (Game 1): April 18th, 4:00 AM CEST / 3:00 AM BST
- Eastern Conference Finals (Game 1): April 18th, 1:30 AM CEST / 00:30 AM BST
Following the play-ins, Prime Video will broadcast one-third of the games during the first and second rounds of the playoffs (Conference First and Second Rounds). Additionally, Prime Video will air one of the conference finals every other year, though this arrangement will not be in effect for 2026.
The remaining games, including the NBA Finals, are distributed among other broadcasters, with variations depending on the country. However, for comprehensive coverage, the most complete option is the NBA League Pass subscription. This is available in the USA, Australia, Austria, Germany, Brazil, Mexico, France, Spain, India, the UK, Italy, Poland, Chile, Colombia, the Netherlands, Sweden, Belgium, Japan, Finland, and New Zealand.
NBA League Pass is priced at €15.99 per month for the standard plan and €19.99 for the premium plan. The convenience factor is that Amazon Prime Video will also serve as a hub, allowing you to access other subscriptions, such as DAZN in Spain, alongside the League Pass.
