NTE Accused of AI Asset Theft, Facing Replacement Controversy

The popular anime game “Neverness to Everness” (NTE) has admitted to using AI-generated images for its background graphics and has pledged to replace them. However, the gaming community is buzzing with allegations that the newly provided replacement assets are also AI-generated.

This controversy comes after initial acknowledgments from the developers regarding the use of AI in the creation of background art. While a promise was made to rectify the situation by providing new, non-AI assets, players and observers claim that the “replacements” bear the hallmarks of artificial intelligence generation. This has sparked further debate about the ethical implications of AI in game development and the transparency of asset sourcing.
