The Caribou Trail Offers a New Perspective on World War I This May

During the Galaxies Spring Showcase, a series of game showcases and presentations that have highlighted 2026 titles, developer Unreliable Narrators provided an update on their upcoming narrative adventure game, The Caribou Trail.

The most significant update is that the game is nearing its release. The Caribou Trail is set to debut on PC and PS5 on May 14th, meaning it will launch in less than a month. This announcement was accompanied by a new trailer featuring additional gameplay.

Regarding its content, The Caribou Trail appears to offer a unique perspective on World War I. The game centers on three soldiers as they uncover the truth about the conflict and strive to survive its atrocities. Gameplay elements will include trench digging, collecting dog tags, and undertaking perilous missions. These mechanics are intended to illustrate how soldiers were sent to war with a misguided understanding of what awaited them.

Will you be playing The Caribou Trail next month?
