Artificial intelligence is seeing widespread adoption, and according to recent rumors, Apple might even be penalizing its internal teams for insufficient AI utilization. As reported by WCCFtech, certain Apple internal teams have been allocated a daily budget of approximately $300 in Claude AI tokens. Teams that fail to significantly utilize their daily token allowance reportedly face rejections of their requests.
WCCFtech further notes that, according to Anthropic, “Claude code typically costs between $100 to $200 per developer per month on Sonnet 4.6.” This indicates that Apple is making a significant investment in integrating AI into its internal workflows, with the primary goal of enhancing the productivity of each team.
Apple’s consumer-facing AI strategy is also advancing. Their revamped Siri chatbot is expected to operate on Google’s TPUs and cloud infrastructure, though it will remain under Apple’s ownership. This Siri chatbot will be deeply integrated into Apple’s software, allowing it to leverage personal data, perform in-app actions, conduct web searches, generate content including images, provide coding assistance, summarize and analyze information, and of course, download files.
It is evident that Apple is making substantial efforts in the realm of AI technology.
