Ryan Reynolds: Deadpool Works Best in a Team, Solo Films Unlikely

Despite “Deadpool & Wolverine” receiving mixed reviews, it has achieved immense box-office success, grossing over $1.3 billion, and its predecessors were also highly successful. However, according to the actor and co-writer Ryan Reynolds, we should not expect further solo adventures for Deadpool.

Reynolds apparently believes that the character thrives best alongside others, thus he seems to have completely abandoned the idea of solo outings for the “Merc with a Mouth.” In an interview with Today (via Nerdist), he stated:

“I have stuff written. I don’t think I’m going to ever reset it. He’s a side character. He’s a guy who’s great in a group.”

Therefore, it’s undeniable that we can likely forget about a future “Deadpool 4.” It’s probable that he will make a cameo appearance in “Avengers: Doomsday,” and this may be primarily how we will see him in the future.

What are your thoughts – are you saddened or relieved?
