Apex Legends x Cyberpunk Crossover: Cyberware Mods, Edgerunner Skins, and Night City Map Arrive
The worlds of Cyberpunk and Apex Legends have collided. While crossovers often bring cool cosmetic skins, Respawn has gone above and beyond in the latest battle royale update, allowing players to fully embrace the Cyberpunk aesthetic.
The "Apex Legends x Cyberpunk" event not only offers players skins inspired by the video game Cyberpunk 2077 and the anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, but also introduces cyberware mods such as the Blackwall Breach and Sandevistan. The Blackwall Breach allows you to blast through doors and other obstacles, while the Sandevistan lets you zip around your opponents at high speed.
As you utilize your cyberware, your Legend's gauge will fill up. Once this bar turns red, you transform into a Cyberpsycho. This grants you buffs, including increased movement speed and devastating melee damage, but disables the use of weapons, shields, abilities, and ammo. This means you won't be able to take advantage of the new "Skippy Alternator," a shame, as you'll miss out on the charming, if somewhat piercing, sounds of our old friend Skippy.
For a truly immersive Cyberpunk experience, players also gain access to a new map set in Night City's E-District. This is a much more vertical map, surrounded by neon skyscrapers, making it perfect for leaping from rooftop to rooftop with your new Sandevistan.
