Ces actions combinées ont entraîné une augmentation notable de leur densité, passant de 0,62 à 2,08 individus pour 100 km² au cours des dernières années.
Bien que cette densité reste relativement faible, elle témoigne d'une tendance encourageante vers le rétablissement de l'espèce. Ce succès démontre que les stratégies de conservation à long terme, menées en étroite collaboration avec les autorités locales, constituent une approche efficace pour la préservation des espèces menacées.
