Fangtopia to Also Launch on PS5 and Switch 2 Later This Year
Developer Absolutely Games has announced that its upcoming spooky kingdom-building puzzle game, Fangtopia, will be available on consoles as well as PC upon its full release later this year. Previously only announced for PC, it is now confirmed that the game will also be released on PS5 and the Nintendo Switch 2, with no word yet on a potential Xbox version.
The console versions of Fangtopia are said to feature the exact same content as the PC version, while being optimized for each respective platform. Global leaderboards will even be accessible across all versions of the game, allowing fans to join the fun no matter where or how they prefer to play.
Regarding what Fangtopia has to offer, it is described as a "fright-free project" where the goal is to construct a kingdom from a stack of hexagonal tiles. Players will ultimately place cities, fields, forests, mountains, railroads, valleys, and more, all fitting together to form a harmonious whole. The main challenge will be figuring out the best way to place each tile, as matching tiles will grant bonuses, including the appearance of monuments. Additionally, the territory can be populated with supernatural creatures ranging from werewolves and ghosts to scarecrows.
The exact release date for Fangtopia has not yet been revealed. However, Absolutely Games is currently seeking interested fans to sign up for a PC alpha test, with registrations remaining open until July 14th.
