Ganondorf Actor Revealed for The Legend of Zelda Movie: He Played Young Dwayne Johnson in 'Young Rock'

Details about "The Legend of Zelda Movie" are scarce, despite its release being less than a year away on April 30, 2027. So far, only two actors have been officially confirmed: Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Link and Bo Bragason as Princess Zelda. However, according to Kyle Buchanan, a journalist for The New York Times, Ganondorf will indeed be featured and will be brought to life by Australian actor Uli Latukefu.

Latukefu, an actor and singer of Tongan heritage (an island in Polynesia), is primarily recognized for his portrayal of the younger Dwayne Johnson in the television series "Young Rock." This experience suggests he possesses the physicality required to embody such an iconic and imposing villain.

The 42-year-old Latukefu has also appeared in "Alien: Covenant," "Black Adam," "MaXXXine," and the series "Countdown." However, his role as Ganondorf in "The Legend of Zelda" is anticipated to be his most significant to date. It's important to note that this casting has not yet been officially confirmed or announced by Nintendo, though it appears credible.

There are also rumors that Dichen Lachman is being considered for the role of Impa. She has been spotted in set photos, but this has also not been confirmed. With the film's release scheduled for next spring, Nintendo and Sony are expected to begin releasing more information soon.
