MAPPA to Animate Persona 4 Revival's Cutscenes
While the recent Anime Expo in Los Angeles was largely dominated by announcements for ambitious TV series and films, a few video game updates also emerged. Notably, Atlus and Sega shared key information regarding Persona 4 Revival. Two significant details were revealed: one concerning the animation studio responsible for the game's cutscenes, and another highlighting a character within the narrative.
Regarding the animation, it was announced that MAPPA is in charge of the cutscene animation for Persona 4 Revival. This studio is renowned for its work on popular titles such as Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, Attack on Titan, and Vinland Saga, among many other projects. A glimpse of their work can be seen in the short clip provided below.
Additionally, a trailer focused on the character Rise Kujikawa was unveiled. She is recognized as the investigation team's navigator in the game. In the English version, the character is voiced by Abby Trott, and you can get a feel for her in the video below.
Persona 4 Revival is still slated for release on February 18th for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
