Marvel Rivals Reduces Captain America's Prominent "Bulge" Following Viral Summer Skin
Marvel Rivals is no stranger to eye-catching skins, and with summer's arrival, NetEase seems intent on making players spend their hard-earned cash by showcasing their favorite heroes and villains in revealing attire. While "daring" skins often grace the female characters, male characters aren't exempt from flaunting their assets. Last summer, for instance, The Thing sported a thong.
Recently, Marvel Rivals may have pushed the envelope with its summer skins by outfitting Captain America with a rather substantial "package," if you catch our drift. As noted by PC Gamer, it appears that Captain America's "bulge" has since been reduced, perhaps due to a sudden gust of wind. The Reddit user Used-Earth8767 recently drew attention to the change in Captain America's in-game attire.
While fans and players might lament the apparent downsizing of one of the most significant "packages" ever bestowed upon a video game character, appearances can be deceiving. According to another Reddit user, no changes were made to the model or rigging. It's possible that the "package" is now more realistically rendered, having been fixed to Captain America's pelvis. This theory gains traction when considering that the circulating screenshot online suggests Captain America's crotch area was digitally altered in Photoshop to appear pulled downwards.
NetEase has yet to comment on the alleged reduction of the bulge, and frankly, it's doubtful they will issue an official statement. Whether you believe the bulge has shrunk or not, it's a relief for many that the "item" is no longer so large it could get stuck in a chair.
