Masters of the Universe Arrives on Prime Video This Week
Perhaps it's the influence of major studios creating an expectation that audiences only need to wait about six weeks for a theatrical release to become available on a standard subscription streaming platform. Whatever the reason, for many, "Masters of the Universe" landing on Prime Video will likely be their first opportunity to see the film.
This is due to "Masters of the Universe" concluding its theatrical run with a modest $113 million at the box office. This performance fell short compared to films like "The Sheep Detectives," "The Drama," "GOAT," "Wuthering Heights," "Backrooms," "Obsession," and numerous other, less expensive productions, many of which were independent. It's true that other big-budget action films like "Supergirl" and "Mortal Kombat II" didn't fare much better, suggesting there might be valuable lessons to be learned from these financial results.
However, if "Masters of the Universe" has still piqued your interest, you'll be pleased to know it will be accessible on Prime Video very soon, with its streaming premiere scheduled in two days.
