Mob Entertainment Hints at New Poppy Playtime Universe Adventure, Not a New Chapter
With the fifth chapter of Poppy Playtime now released, players are eagerly awaiting concrete information about Mob Entertainment's next move. While a previously modified LinkedIn page hinted at an upcoming Chapter 6, seemingly supported by planned staff reorganization, it's also evident that the developer aims to expand the universe with a multiplayer title and a new intellectual property.
This expansion was foreshadowed earlier this year in an interview where it was stated that "the universe is bigger than one factory can hold." This is now materializing as Mob Entertainment begins to unveil a new title that doesn't appear to be a direct continuation of Poppy Playtime's chapter-based narrative. Instead, it will feature the return of the trolley character known as Barry, who first appeared in Chapter 2.
A mysterious Steam page has emerged, showcasing a game titled "Experiment 82626." This experience is designed to blend genres such as horror, survival horror, first-person perspective, stealth, comedy, and exploration.
So far, two brief descriptions of the game have been provided. The first states, "What time is it? We're almost there..." The second offers more insight into the game's features, asserting, "You must earn your place in our future home... Multiplayer Co-op Mode... The Poppy Playtime canon... Proximity chat..."
With this information now available, further announcements are expected very soon. Stay tuned for what the creators of Poppy Playtime will offer next.
