Mouse: P.I. For Hire Physical & Digital Editions Announced, Nintendo Switch 2 Gets Cartridge Game
Following earlier leaks, developer Fumi Games and publisher PlaySide Studios have officially confirmed that the highly anticipated "Mouse: P.I. For Hire" will be released in both digital and physical formats, with multiple editions promised.
The digital launch is still scheduled for April 16th, after a recent delay. Information available about the game includes the developer's stance on AI and its 'relatively linear' storyline.
Physical editions will follow on July 10th, launching for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2, later than their digital counterparts.
A standard edition, including only the base game, will be available for PS5 and Switch 2, with the Switch 2 version featuring a physical game cartridge instead of a digital key. The more expansive Mouseburg Edition will also be released for Xbox Series X/S and PC (as a Steam code in a box), packed with various physical goodies, such as:
- The base game 'Mouse: P.I. For Hire'
- A 7-inch vinyl record featuring four tracks from the official game soundtrack, including original compositions by Patryk Scelina, plus a brand-new track created for the game by electro-swing icons Caravan Palace.
- A double-sided poster (340 mm x 340 mm) with a map of Mouseburg on one side and a schematic of Jack Pepper's 'Micer' pistol on the other.
- A printed 'Mouse: P.I. For Hire' comic book, accompanied by 2 sticker sheets.
- 33 Mouseburg Baseball collectible cards, inspired by the in-game mini-game.
- 3 Premium Mouseburg postcards.
Regarding digital releases, a Digital Deluxe Edition will also be available on Steam on April 16th. This edition will include the base game, the first DLC expansion upon its launch, the complete soundtrack, and a digital comic book.
Additionally, the Xbox launch will support Play Anywhere without extra cost. Further information regarding 'Mouse: P.I. For Hire' release plans for PS4, Xbox One, and the original Nintendo Switch will be announced at a later date.
