While the specific breakdown between the original Switch and the newer Switch 2 console sales remains undisclosed within this data, the report highlights an outstanding March for the Switch 2. Its sales surged by an impressive 154% month-over-month, primarily driven by the highly anticipated release and subsequent enthusiasm for "Pokémon Pokopia." A minor caveat is that March comprised five weeks compared to February's four, which may slightly skew the month-over-month growth figures.
This emerging trend suggests a potential slowdown in consumer spending on competing platforms. PlayStation and Xbox devices collectively represent less than 50% of the total UK console sales for the year.
