Pokémon Pokopia & IKEA Collaborate
The announcement on April 1st might have led to some initial skepticism, but Nintendo and IKEA, who have partnered successfully in the past, are indeed joining forces once more. This latest initiative centers around Pokémon Pokopia, with plans to open dedicated gaming sections in select stores. These areas will allow visitors to enjoy Pokopia-themed food, collect stamps, and participate in various other activities.
The familiar catch, however, is that fans in Western regions will, unfortunately, be excluded from these particular festivities. This in-store experience is exclusively reserved for Japan.
Nonetheless, we won't be entirely left out. IKEA has also developed its own virtual 'Pokopia Island' (dubbed Ikea Island), with more detailed revelations expected soon. On this digital island, we'll have the opportunity to explore 'special rooms designed by IKEA's interior architects, drawing inspiration from Pikachu and Snorlax.' One can only hope this collaboration guarantees perfectly straight shelves and flawlessly assembled bed frames!
