Rumor: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Set for October Release
Many Call of Duty fans anticipate a return to the Modern Warfare series for the franchise's next installment. The last entry, Modern Warfare 3, was released in 2023, marking a considerable gap between CoD titles. Regarding the potential release date for the fourth installment in the rebooted series, there might be a significant clue.
According to CharlieIntel, a known source for Call of Duty leaks, the game is slated for an October release. When pressed for a more precise date, the leaker stated, "There are 5 Fridays in October so it will be one of them!". This October release window comes as no surprise, considering the last five games have launched in either October or November.
Given that October releases for Call of Duty, such as Black Ops 6 and Modern Warfare 2, typically occur later in the month, it's reasonable to expect Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 to arrive in the final two Fridays of October. However, with Grand Theft Auto VI looming in November, Activision might opt for an earlier release to circumvent Rockstar's colossal launch. Regardless, it appears Call of Duty will not be pushing its release into November this year.
