SOULM8TE: The Erotic Thriller Spin-off of M3GAN is Coming Soon
In just a few weeks, you'll be able to stream the M3GAN spin-off titled "SOULM8TE." Following the widespread attention garnered by the first M3GAN film, Blumhouse has swiftly moved to greenlight a sequel and explore spin-offs, aiming to expand the franchise's universe. This initiative has led to the announcement of "SOULM8TE," a project that shifts focus from child-like androids to adult female counterparts designed for a different kind of companionship.
While the premise differs – with "SOULM8TE" being positioned as an erotic thriller – the film ultimately tackles similar themes. Viewers will witness how this android develops sentience and becomes fiercely protective of its "owner," resorting to brutal violence, including murder and mutilation, against anyone who stands in its way.
The synopsis for "SOULM8TE" elaborates: "Ominous, suspenseful, and darkly captivating, SOULM8TE follows a grieving engineer tasked with testing a ruthless tech giant's new AI companion. But as he attempts to program her into a true, sentient soulmate, she develops her own desires, unleashing a relentless and precisely orchestrated wave of chaos."
SOULM8TE will bypass a theatrical release and be available directly on Video on Demand (VOD) platforms. The good news is that you'll be able to watch it very soon from the comfort of your own home, starting August 1st. To give you a glimpse of what to expect, check out the trailer for SOULM8TE below.
