As more games are being ported to the Nintendo Switch 2, fans are wondering if Square Enix will bring some of its recent hits to the platform.

During a recent shareholder meeting, Square Enix was directly asked about their intentions to port more Final Fantasy titles to the Switch 2. This question arose particularly since Final Fantasy VII: Remake and Rebirth have native versions, and Revelation is scheduled for simultaneous release on the platform. More specifically, the inquiry focused on whether Final Fantasy XV could eventually see a release on the Switch 2.

Square Enix responded, stating, "First, although there are some hardware limitations to faithfully reproduce the exact experience of 'Final Fantasy XV,' it can be said that it is not entirely impossible. As for whether we will actually release it on the Nintendo Switch 2, we will convey your comment to the development team, as it is a valuable perspective on marketing and future platform options."

So, there's a chance! One thing is certain: a Switch 2 edition of Final Fantasy XV would undoubtedly help boost the game's sales, which had surpassed 10 million copies sold by May 2022. No new sales figures have been released since that announcement.
