"Nous avons un plan complet sur lequel nous travaillons depuis, je dirais, la fin du tournage de Spider-Man: No Way Home. Tout est prêt. Cela évoluera sans aucun doute, mais j'ai une vision très claire de la manière dont je vais passer le relais, et je trouve cela vraiment excitant."

Cette déclaration fait écho à des propos antérieurs de Holland. Lors d'une apparition sur le tapis rouge pour "Spider-Man: Brand New Day", il avait exprimé son amour pour le rôle et son désir de continuer à l'interpréter "tant qu'ils voudront de moi".

Bien que Holland affirme que la formation d'un successeur pour reprendre le flambeau de Spider-Man est "ce qu'il a le plus envie de faire avec ce personnage, sans aucun doute", il est probable que cela ne se produise pas dans un futur proche. Les films Spider-Man avec Holland aux commandes figurent parmi les plus grands succès commerciaux de Marvel au cinéma, juste après les films Avengers.

En ce qui concerne les performances de "Brand New Day", les chiffres complets du week-end d'ouverture ne seront disponibles que dans quelques jours, mais le film est déjà pressenti pour être un succès commercial dès sa sortie. Even though Tom Holland's departure from his role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man doesn't seem imminent, considering the iconic status of the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), the actor already has a clear idea of his future beyond the webslinger's suit.

In an interview with Josh Horowitz on the "Happy Sad Sad Confused" podcast, Holland revealed that a detailed exit plan for his portrayal of Peter Parker has been developed, and he is eager to see it implemented someday.

"We have a whole plan that we've been working on, I'd say, since the end of filming Spider-Man: No Way Home. It's all set up. It's definitely going to evolve, but I have a very clear vision of how I'm going to pass the torch, and I find that really exciting."

This statement follows up on previous remarks by Holland. During a red carpet appearance for "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," he stated that he loved the role and would like to continue "as long as they want me."

While Holland also says that training a protégé to take over the Spider-Man mantle is "what I'm most excited to do with this character, for sure," it's unlikely to happen anytime soon. Especially considering that the Spider-Man films with Holland at the helm appear to be Marvel's biggest box office successes in recent times, following the Avengers films.

As for the results of *Brand New Day*, it will be a few more days before the full opening weekend numbers are known, but the film is currently expected to be a commercial success upon its release. The next question will be whether it can sustain that momentum in the long run.
