Ubisoft: "The Division Resurgence is Enjoyable Even if You're Not a Fan"
A new chapter in The Division universe recently launched with The Division Resurgence, available on iOS and Android since March 31st. We had the opportunity to speak with Ubisoft to delve deeper into the game and understand how it aims to attract a broad player base.
During an interview with producer Pierre-Hughes Puechlong, we inquired about the game's narrative and what players should know to fully appreciate the experience.
"What's great about The Division Resurgence is that existing fans won't feel lost," Puechlong explained. "The game largely takes place between the events of TD1 and TD2, making it a canon experience and an integral part of The Division's overarching story. However, if you're new to the series, you're absolutely welcome. You don't need to be a fan to enjoy it."
He further elaborated, "Regardless of whether you're a fan or not, in the very first moments of the game, you'll go through a brief training camp. This ensures that as a Division agent, you learn how to shoot, crouch, take cover, and generally get accustomed to the controls. For long-time Division fans, you'll also have the opportunity to reconnect with some familiar elements. But again, this isn't mandatory. You don't need prior knowledge of The Division to appreciate the game."
Therefore, while the game serves as an ideal next step for Division fans eagerly awaiting The Division 3, it also provides an excellent entry point for newcomers to the series seeking a fresh, on-the-go looter-shooter experience.
