Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader Dev Offers Free DLC on Switch After Rocky Launch
Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader experienced a challenging debut in late 2023. Competing with the release of Baldur's Gate III in the same year meant that players took some time to fully appreciate this CRPG. Unfortunately, Owlcat Games seems to have faced similar difficulties with the game's launch on a new platform, as Nintendo Switch owners have expressed dissatisfaction with the game's performance.
However, in a recent announcement, Owlcat Games revealed that the latest patch for the Nintendo Switch version introduces significant performance enhancements, visual improvements, and more to address the game's initial shortcomings. Furthermore, Nintendo Switch players will receive all of the game's DLC expansions free of charge. This includes already released expansions like "Void Shadows," "Lex Imperialis," and "The Infinite Muesion," as well as the upcoming fourth expansion. While these DLCs are not universally free across all regions, Owlcat Games has made substantial efforts to reduce their cost. For example, in Japan, players can acquire the DLCs for a mere 100 yen (approximately £0.46).
Additional updates for the Nintendo Switch version are planned, with a major patch reportedly already in development. Owlcat Games' generous move of offering free DLC is likely to help them regain favor, despite the less-than-ideal launch on this new platform. Owlcat is known for its responsiveness to player feedback. The studio recently retracted its decision to implement its own launcher, just hours after its announcement.

Moana (2026)
Amidst Disney's ongoing series of live-action remakes, the "Moana" adaptation appears to be one of the most redundant. The original animated film is less than a decade old, released in November 2016, and the franchise remains vibrant with "Moana 2" slated for late 2024 and a third animated fil
