The chilling universe of the Insidious franchise is set to grow even larger. Later this year, a new chapter in its overarching narrative will arrive in theaters with the standalone film, Insidious: Out of the Further, aiming to leave audiences on the edge of their seats.
Scheduled for its premiere on August 21st, this film centers on a young mother who uncovers her ability to traverse “The Further,” the twisted realm at the heart of the Insidious universe. The plot unfolds as follows:
‘In Insidious: Out of the Further, Amelia Eve stars as Gemma, a young mother raising her daughter in the home she grew up in, only to discover she can travel into The Further, the purgatorial realm of lost souls at the core of the Insidious universe. When a demon targets her, Gemma finds herself with a world-altering ability: she can not only enter The Further, but she can also bring back what lives there into the real world. As demons realize her power, our world becomes their playground.’
Insidious: Out of the Further is directed by Jacob Chase, who also penned the screenplay. The cast includes Eve, alongside Brandon Perea and Lin Shaye, who reprises her role as Elise Rainier.
With this glimpse into the upcoming horror, prepare for the August premiere of Insidious: Out of the Further.
