Pragmata: A Glimpse of What AAA Games Should Be – Review Video

For a long time after its announcement, the true nature of Pragmata, slated for release on PC and consoles on April 17, 2026, remained ambiguous. However, it has now been revealed to be a third-person shooter featuring a truly unique hacking mechanic. And what a mechanic it is!

While I initially intended to solely experience the campaign for this review video, I found myself completely engrossed in Pragmata. Although the game delves into highly relevant themes such as AI and hacking, it ultimately serves as an homage to classic AAA games.

In this video, I will elaborate on what I mean by this and who absolutely shouldn’t miss out on Pragmata.

  • Fantastic Combat
  • A World Full of Secrets
  • Making a Weak Story Engaging
  • A True AAA Game

For a significant period following its announcement, the ultimate identity of Pragmata, scheduled for release on PC and consoles on April 17, 2026, was unclear. It is now understood to be a third-person shooter incorporating a distinctive hacking mechanism. And what a mechanism it is!

Although my initial intention for the review video was merely to experience the campaign, I found myself unable to disengage from Pragmata. While the game’s themes, including AI and hacking, are as current as possible, the title is fundamentally an ode to classic AAA games.
