Ahead of its December release, Robert Eggers has unveiled his next horror film, *The Foraged*, which once again plunges us into a historical setting with a dark and mythological touch. *The Foraged* stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who portrays a man afflicted by a curse.
The nature of this curse should be quite clear given the film’s title and synopsis, but we don’t get to see what our werewolf hero looks like at all in the trailer. We catch a glimpse of what appears to be a transformation scene right at the end, but we don’t see Taylor-Johnson sporting a long snout, claws, or excessive fur.
It seems we’ll have to wait for another trailer or see the film on December 25th to discover what the werewolf looks like in the final version. Aaron Taylor-Johnson isn’t alone in this film, as Lily-Rose Depp plays his character’s wife, and it appears she has undergone quite a transformation herself to prepare for this role. The farmer we follow in the film believes his family is cursed just like him, but we’ll see if he manages to spare them a bloody fate at the hands of hunters.
