Trump Warns Iranian Ships Approaching US Blockade Will Be ‘Immediately Eliminated’

US President Donald Trump has issued a severe warning, stating that any Iranian ‘fast-attack’ vessels venturing near the newly implemented US maritime blockade will be “immediately eliminated.” This statement signals a significant escalation of tensions between the two nations.

This warning comes as Washington imposes restrictions on vessels entering and exiting Iran. This move is part of a broader strategy to exert pressure on Tehran amid stalled negotiations. Trump asserted that the United States would not permit Iran to “extort the world,” referring to Iran’s influence over shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump declared that Iran’s remaining naval capabilities, particularly its small fast-attack craft, would be targeted if they approached US forces. He characterized potential strikes as “quick and brutal,” drawing parallels to past US maritime operations against vessels suspected of criminal activity.

Despite experiencing substantial losses in its conventional navy, Iran maintains asymmetrical capabilities through its Revolutionary Guard forces. These forces possess small attack boats, mines, and employ other tactics designed to disrupt navigation in the region.

The warning follows the collapse of talks between US and Iranian officials in Islamabad, casting doubt on the fragile ceasefire. Washington has reiterated its commitment to not accepting any agreement that allows Iran to develop nuclear weapons.
