The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth Achieves All-Time Concurrent Player Record on Steam

During Steam’s ongoing summer sale, a substantial discount has significantly boosted the player base for The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth. The game is currently available with a remarkable 90% off on most bundles, including the complete edition featuring all DLC, priced at a mere £3.70. This incredible offer has clearly resonated with many fans, leading to a new all-time record for the game’s concurrent player count on Steam, achieved over 12 years after its initial release.

This isn’t just a minor increase; the concurrent player count peaked at an impressive 130,954. Even as this is being written, over 92,000 players are actively engaged with the game. This new peak positions The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth at 156th place among the most simultaneously played games in Steam’s history. Considering its 2014 release, this is an outstanding accomplishment. The surge in players has propelled it past titles such as Borderlands 2, Outriders, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, Dying Light: The Beast, Battlefield V, and even the latest project from developer Edmund McMillen, Mewgenics.

It remains to be seen if this record will be surpassed again. However, with the base game available for just £1.09 on Steam, there’s a strong incentive for new players to jump in and potentially push this successful indie title even higher in the rankings.
