One Piece Season 3 Filming Concludes: Return Expected in 2027

The return of the Straw Hat Pirates on Netflix in 2027 seems highly plausible. Netflix has announced that production for the third season of the live-action series “One Piece” has officially wrapped up. This means that the post-production phase can now begin, all in preparation for its premiere, the date of which remains to be determined.

This news was accompanied by a new set photo from the filming. The image shows the actors in front of a mural depicting Sir Crocodile, an antagonist who was hinted at throughout season 2 and against whom the crew will battle in this next chapter. This season will adapt the Alabasta arc, with the season itself being titled “The Battle of Alabasta.”

A synopsis for the season has also been shared via Netflix Tudum, which states: “After agreeing to help Princess Vivi at the end of Season 2, Luffy and the Straw Hat crew find themselves facing a brewing war in the desert kingdom of Alabasta, Vivi’s homeland.

“In Season 3, a rebellion threatens to tear the nation apart, secretly instigated by one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, the ruthless Sir Crocodile, and his underground syndicate Baroque Works, who seek to seize Alabasta,” the synopsis reads. “In a season marked by unbreakable bonds and impossible choices, the Straw Hats must confront a brewing civil war and a powerful sea warlord to save Vivi’s kingdom before it crumbles into sand.”

“Formidable new enemies and uncharted worlds await you in this next installment, where the stakes have never been higher.”

Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the return of “One Piece,” anticipated for 2027.
