Netflix is developing an ambitious live-action adaptation of the iconic Gundam franchise, promising to bring the beloved universe to life in an unprecedented way. With production now underway, the streaming giant has officially confirmed the film’s cast and offered a glimpse into the plot.

Headlining the project are Sydney Sweeney and Noah Centineo. The ensemble cast is further bolstered by a notable group of actors, including Jason Isaacs, Jackson White, Javon Walton, Michael Mando, Gemma Chua-tran, Shioli Kutsuna, Nonso Anozie, Ida Brooke, and Oleksandr Rudynskyi.

The official synopsis reveals that the live-action film, starring Sydney Sweeney and Noah Centineo, will center on “rival mech pilots at war across Earth and its space colonies.”

Given that production is currently in progress, it is anticipated that Gundam will likely be released on Netflix sometime next year, with a strong possibility of a second-half debut.
